Space on my desk is limited. It’s pretty big, but I like to keep a lot of things within arms reach or on display. Pens, pencils, scissors, stapler, thank you cards, business cards, invitations, notebooks, notecards, books and magazines, etc. I like to handwrite notes often and I always end up moving my keyboard on top of my computer because I don't have enough writing space. I wanted a way to remove my computer from the desk surface because it’s just taking up space while it’s plugged into an external monitor. I designed a device that sits between the wall and the back of my desk to hold my computer vertically. This way, it’s completely off of my desk. The sling is made from kerfed plywood to make it flexible. The simple wedge shape of the 3D printed stabilizers allows the sling to sit between the wall and desk by just using gravity, with the 3D printed teeth fitting seamlessly into the plywood kerf pattern. Removing my computer from the desk surface has freed up much needed writing space.
